First Annual Baltimore Piano Marathon - The Spire Series

Plan to attend the First Annual Baltimore Piano Marathon Concert, presented by The Spire Series at First & Franklin Presbyterian Church! Between 2:00 and 6:00, eight superb solo pianists from the Greater Baltimore/Washington area will perform - - a new artist will take the stage every thirty minutes. Come for as much time as you wish!
We are thrilled to have radio station WBJC announcers Kati Harrison and Mark Malinowski LIVE, as co-MC's for the event.
The artist roster and SCHEDULE is:
2:00 PM: Michael Sheppard, American Pianists' Association Classical Fellow, pupil of Ann Schein and Leon Fleisher at Peabody Conservatory.
2:30 PM: Hyun Jung Kim, 2016 Winner, Sendai International Piano Competition.
3:00 PM: Matthew Palumbo, MM, Peabody Conservatory (2014); piano faculty, International School of Music, Bethesda, Maryland and Community College of Baltimore County.
3:30 PM: Seth Schultheis, Baltimore School for the Arts student; 2016 Winner, Maryland Music Teachers Association Competition.
4:00 PM: Raymond Jackson, Juilliard trained concert pianist (DMA) of international renown. Professor of Music, Howard University, Washington, DC, will perform works by Chopin.
4:30 PM: Ken Osowski, DMA, Peabody Conservatory, Professor of Piano and Music Theory, York College of PA.
5:00 PM: Thomas Hunter, graduate of University of Maryland and the Royal College of Music, London, will perform Chopin and Beethoven.
5:30 PM: Marianna Prjevalskaya, Winner, 2013 Cincinnati World Piano Competition; Naxos CD (2012) with works by Scarlatti, Haydn, Schumann, and Zárate.
