Organ Music Across the Ages by Benjamin Teague (UK)

Organist Benjamin Teague, from Newport South Wales, UK, will perform a
recital of “Music Across the Ages” on the majestic Roosevelt – Austin pipe organ at Historic
Lovely Lane, the Mother Church of American Methodism, on April 21st at 7:00 PM.

Mr. Teague studies organ in Llandaff Cathedral with David Geoffrey Thomas, and has since
progressed to holding positions at both St. Teilo's Church and St. Michael's College, Llandaff.
Ben has performed several recitals across the United Kingdom, and now the east coast of
America. He is a keen performer as well as composer, on both organ and piano. He takes a
particular interest in French music, especially Ravel and Debussy, as well as Widor, Vierne and
Fauré of the Late French Romantic, and Messiaen, Duruflé, Langlais of the 20th century school.
His performance at Lovely Lane will include works by American and European masters such as
Bach, Buxtehude, Langlais, Messiaen, plus music by masterful contemporary composers.

The recital is free, and free will donations will be accepted.

Lovely Lane United Methodist Church is the Mother Church of American Methodism. Designed
by noted American Architect, Stanford White, the church is listed on the National Register of
Historic Places, and the building has been named one of the American Society of Architect's
“100 Most Important Buildings in North America.” Free parking and Accessible Entrance are
available.
