This 16’ inflatable light sculpture will travel throughout the Coldstream Homestead Montebello neighborhood in the weeks leading up to Light City before performing its final act: standing on the surface of the water in the center of Lake Montebello. There, the elephant will become the centerpiece for a celebratory community “circus” featuring illuminated dance, a glow-in-the-dark disc golf tournament, live musical performances and more. After the festival, the sculpture will be deconstructed and the rain barrels used to create its base will be redistributed to neighborhood residents throughout Coldstream Homestead Montebello.
