The Baltimore Folk Music Society presents American Square and Contra Dancing on the 2nd Saturday of the month running from 8:00 'till 11:00 pm, with a short break in the middle.
Admission is: $9 BFMS Members & Affiliates, $13 non-members. Under 21 and full-time students with ID: $4 members, $6 non-members.

Improvisation is not about being funny; it’s about being true. This beginning level course will help students learn to trust their creative instincts, improve listening skills and hone their connections through the art of Improv. A safe and supportive classroom environment will allow students to take the improv exercises and create dynamic and committed work. For the local professional looking to enhance his or her skill set, for those brand new to theatre and for any person needing to let go, live in the moment and deepen daily interactions.
In Crafting A Character, Company Member Beth Hylton will explore the process of creating dynamic characters for the stage. Participants will engage in character-building through mask work and observation; using images, music, pretext and other artifacts as a way into activating and inhabiting a character.
