AmiciMusic, the award-winning chamber music organization dedicated to performing great music in intimate spaces and non-traditional venues, presents a wonderful program of piano trios influenced by folk music from around the world. Violinist Emmanuel Borowsky and cellist Frances Borowsky join AmiciMusic's Artistic Director Daniel Weiser on piano on this fun journey from the Slovakian countryside (Dvorak's "Dumky" Trio) to the streets of Buenos Aires (Piazzolla's "Four Seasons") and finally to the diverse sounds of America from ragtime to dixie to Klezmer (Paul Schoenfield's "Cafe Music").
This Howard Community College Faculty Recital explores the full color palette that flute, cello, and piano create together. Each composer on this program interprets the possibilities differently, from the 19th-century Romanticism of Louise Farrenc, to modern Argentinian tangos by Astor Piazzolla, to Hillary Tann’s 21st-century illustrations of Italian Renaissance gardens.
