AmiciMusic presents "The FOLK INFLUENCE"
AmiciMusic, the award-winning chamber music organization dedicated to performing great music in intimate spaces and non-traditional venues, presents a wonderful program of piano trios influenced by folk music from around the world. Violinist Emmanuel Borowsky and cellist Frances Borowsky join AmiciMusic's Artistic Director Daniel Weiser on piano on this fun journey from the Slovakian countryside (Dvorak's "Dumky" Trio) to the streets of Buenos Aires (Piazzolla's "Four Seasons") and finally to the diverse sounds of America from ragtime to dixie to Klezmer (Paul Schoenfield's "Cafe Music"). AmiciMusic aims to break down the barriers between performers and audience by talking about each composer before the piece is played and by establishing a more relaxed and informal atmosphere in which to see and hear the music. This concert is in a beautiful private home in Guilford and also includes light food and drink. This is chamber music the way it was meant to be.
