This is further complimented by several very talented vocalists.
In the late 1800s, exactly when the Romantic Period was roiling with emotion, the Western world was shaken up by the revolutionary Paris Exhibition. There, artists were amazed and moved by the great art of the East. Forever changed were the lives of composers like Debussy and Ravel; and they were inspired to follow a brand new mode of expression. In this recital, you will hear both sides of this revolution: great music of Asia, and the Western music it influenced.

It’s no wonder that Germany's Rolling Stone compared Luke Elliot to some of the greatest sonic storytellers of our time when they wrote, "Luke Elliot's style is timeless, his songs tell stories and comparisons to Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, or Tom Waits are therefore not uncommon." This Princeton, New Jersey-bred singer/songwriter/pianist journey began the old-fashioned way — working his way up from playing small bars in the Lower East Side of Manhattan to some of the most legendary clubs in the country, such as NYC's Mercury Lounge and Webster Hall and Philadelphia's World Café Live.
Join us for the last Baltimore's Broadway meet up for Music, Games, Dance, and Open Mic for this season!
Broadway Live celebrates Greater Baltimore's rich and diverse theater scene featuring a new local company each month.
Sign up for the open mic with your song or your scene, grab a friend and get ready to take the stage!
