Demonstation and Interactive Samulnori Workshop

Learn about the rhythms and instruments that comprise Korean traditional percussion, Samulnori, which literally means"to play four things." These "things" include changgo (hourglass drum), buk (barrel drum), kweanggarri (small gong) and jing (large gong). The hands-on workshop is led by Sebastian Wang, director of the University of Maryland's Korean Percussion Ensemble and Executive Director of the Washington Samulnori.
