Hair Cuttery, the largest family-owned and -operated chain of hair salons in the country, is kicking off the 18th year of its Share-A-Haircut program with haircuts for the homeless February 6 – 7, 2017. For every haircut purchased at one of Hair Cuttery’s nearly 900 salons, one free haircut certificate will be donated to a homeless person locally. Hair Cuttery is determined to donate thousands of free haircut certificates with the help of local shelters and community organizations. Through last year's program, 86,000 free haircuts brought confidence and smiles to those less fortunate.

On weekends, Milkshake is a rock band for kids that travels the country promoting their Grammy-nominated and award-winning CDs. During the school week, however, Lisa and Mikel delight in downsizing to an energetic duo that is perfect for an assembly setting. By using unique props and guiding audience participation, Milkshake produces a show that children truly feel a part of. Despite all the fun and silliness, Milkshake songs are best known for introducing children to basic concepts of creative thinking, as evidenced in their many songs for PBS KIDS and Nick Jr.

By addresssing societal trends and accountability, the performance calls attention to the danger of our own thoughts and actions and encourages a collaboration of individuals which will, in turn, inspire a new world of hope.

Special Olympics Young Athletes is a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages 2 to 7 years old. Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills, like running, kicking and throwing. Children of all abilities take part, and they become a part of an inclusive team in the community.
