Cross the gangway and come aboard to learn about America's Star-Spangled Ambassador, Pride of Baltimore II. Explore the deck and talk to her captain and crew. Learn about the history of Baltimore Clippers and the role privateers played in the War of 1812; or hear from a crew member what it is like to sail a tall ship today. Tours are open to guests of all ages. Groups are welcome, too.
Johns Hopkins University's Evergreen Museum & Library hosts a Museum After Hours reception for its 2017 Artist in Residence, Tony Auth (Maryland Institute College of Art, BFA Ceramics), who will lead a tour through his indoor/outdoor site specific installation "Melding Museum and City" at 6 p.m.
See a special one-night-only gathering of art cars, wander through Evergreen's first-floor historic rooms, discover rare Shakespeare materials drawn from the John Work Garrett Library, and enjoy light refreshments.

Visitors of all ages can fly in their imaginations during a special one of a kind experience when they attend the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum’s Open Cockpit Day. Located at Martin State Airport, the Museum offers a day of aviation fun providing the opportunity to sit in the pilot seats of the Museum’s outdoor flightline of vintage airplanes. Families will be flying high with excitement as they climb into jet fighters, bombers and helicopter. Shuttle busses to the flightline begin their tours at 9:15am with the last tour of the planes departing at 12:00 pm.

Ladew Gardens’ annual Summer Concert Series. Enjoy a fun-filled summer evening groovin' to the music of some of Baltimore's most popular bands in a glorious garden setting! Picnics, blankets, and chairs are welcome, but please no pets, alcohol or athletic equipment. Food and refreshments, including alcoholic beverages are available for purchase.
For children who love to sing! Auditions for children as young as 5 ½ will be held in Towson on August 15th,16th, & 17th for the 2017-2018 season of this comprehensive music education & choral performance program. The audition is a kid-friendly series of games, imitative exercises, and physical activities. No previous training is required.
