Creative Alliance seeks Exhibitions and Programs Intern

The Exhibitions / Workshops / Residency internship is an opportunity to become fully immersed into the various positions that drive the support and presentation of artists and adult continuing education at the Creative Alliance. Candidates should be willing to tackle different tasks each day, both in tandem with the program manager or other full-time staff, and independently based on the needs of the project at hand. Ongoing responsibilities include the preparation of gallery spaces between exhibitions, assisting the full-time staff and exhibiting artists with installation of artwork, managing receptions for artists, acting as an information liaison between the galleries and general public during selected high-profile special events. Interns will additionally help to plan and implement one long-term special project. Through this process you will assist in the creation of public relations material (press releases, show cards, catalogs), web content, and the development of related programming such as gallery talks or workshops relating to the theme or content of each exhibition. Interns will leave having had a hand in every aspect of exhibition development and design and having made a palpable contribution to the Creative Alliance’s programming.
