Reginald F. Lewis Museum Seeks Coordinator of Public and School Programs

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and ensure the facilitation of both ongoing and one-time public programs connected to the museum’s mission and current exhibitions
  • Assist Curator and Director of Education and Visitor Services with the development of interactives for all new exhibitions
  • Assist and provide support to the Education Programs Manager with the development, promotion and facilitation of programs for school groups
  • Handle registrations for public programs
  • Provide administrative support and coordination of the museum’s Community Access Program
  • Assist the Director of Education and Visitor Services with the design and implementation of survey processes to monitor satisfaction with public, school groups, teachers and youth education programs
  • Work with the External Affairs team to ensure all education programs are sufficiently publicized and up to date on website and social media platforms

Qualifications:

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and two or more years of previous experience required
  • Demonstrates strong planning and organization skills- detail orientation a must
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal communication skills
  • Flexible, positive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent customer service and high expectations for quality
  • Ability to work occasional evening or weekend hours as needed for events and programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience scheduling museum events and activities
  • Experience and knowledge of Baltimore regional nonprofits
  • Public speaking and delivering messages to groups
  • Altru experience
