Baltimore Concert Opera presents the Flying Dutchman
Engineers Club / Garrett Jacobs Mansion
Enjoy Wagner's Flying Dutchman in an intimate concert setting with Baltimore Concert Opera at the Garrett Jacobs Mansion of the Engineers Club. Based on Heinrich Heine's retelling of the legend, The Flying Dutchman is the story of a sea captain in a ghostly vessel cursed to sail forever for blasphemy, who can only be redeemed by the love of a faithful woman. Every seven years, the Dutchman is cast ashore in search of a wife who will release him from his curse. Performances are Friday, March 1st, at 7:30pm and Sunday, March 3rd, at 3pm.
