Celebrate Valentine's Day early with this gorgeous program of love songs and duets. Sopranos Mandy Brown and Shaina Kuhn, baritone Matthew Maisano, tenor Colby Mullen, and pianist Andrew Stewart perform classics by Schubert, Bizet, Mozart, and Hahn, plus lesser known jewels by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, H. T. Burleigh, Florence Price, Undine Smith Moore, and Amy Beach.
Join T. Herbert Dimmock, four superb vocal soloists, and the Bach in Baltimore Choir and Orchestra in the performance of Bach’s magnum opus, the B Minor Mass. This work represents Bach’s lifelong and tireless artistry as a composer and musician of the highest caliber. It is a grand synthesis of his every musical innovation and contribution. Bach began the B Minor Mass early in his career and didn’t finish it until the end of his life when he had already gone blind.

Pianist extraordinaire Aaron Diehl joins the BSO for Ellington’s intoxicating “New World A-Comin’” and Gershwin’s Second Rhapsody, an animated and jaunty follow-up to Rhapsody in Blue. Guest conductor Ken-David Masur leads the orchestra in Polish composer Grażyna Bacewicz’s Overture, featuring exhilarating passages from the strings and horns, and closes the program with Brahms' sunny and uplifting Second Symphony.

Join UMBC faculty Dr. Michelle R. Scott and Dr. Tammy Henderson as they lead a discussion surrounding the roles of gender and the Black family seen in the 50’s as well as in the play, “A Raisin In The Sun.”
The BSO’s Symphony in the City series is back! Symphony in the City brings the Orchestra out of the concert hall and into community locations across Baltimore City. Led by BSO Assistant Conductor Jonathan Rush, this program at New Shiloh Baptist Church recognizes Black History Month with a performance of works by Carlos Simon, Joseph Bologne, and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.
The Baltimore Improv Group has improv comedy shows every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7, 8 & 9 p.m. All Thursday shows are free. Friday and Saturday shows are $10.
