Children’s Chorus of Maryland (CCM) will hold auditions on August 27th, 28th, & 29th and September 5th in Towson for children as young as 5 ½ who are interested in participating in an exciting choral performance program. CCM features highly qualified teachers, small classes and in-depth vocal enrichment to provide children with a complete musical education and choral experience. Mariah Bonner is a Baltimore born actress, singer and producer. She was classically trained at The Guildhall School of Music& Drama in London, and has appeared in films, television and theater productions in Los Angeles, London, Paris and New York. She is best known for her leading roles in John Hyams’ UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: DAY OF RECKONING and STARVE, directed by Griff Furst.
Television credits include CSI, Rules of Engagement, Switched at Birth and Scorpion.

Crickets is a fun, play-based music and movement class for boys and girls ages 4 to 6. Trained teachers engage the body and the mind in joyful music-making through musical games and movement. Offered by Children’s Chorus of Maryland and School of Music (CCM), Crickets gently encourages young children to explore the voice as their first true instrument. Classes start Saturday, September 21st, 2019 starting at 9AM or 10AM in Towson. Classes are 50 minutes long, meet once a week, and last for 10 weeks. The tuition for the fall session costs $200.

"Classic jazz for the contemporary audience” has been the mantra for this band since its inception in 2010. Led by pianist/composer/arranger Prakash Wright, the trio focuses on original compositions and unique arrangements of jazz standards, hymns, and pop tunes by the likes of Prince, Sting, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. Bassist Mike Montgomery and drummer Bobby Beall round out this unique trio, whose fourth CD, Hymnology, Vol. II, is currently in postproduction.
Tonight the trio is joined by special guest Kevin Mittleman on guitar.

VOICES OF CARMEN is a musical adaptation of the opera Carmen and a new work developed through youth centered conversation and collaboration. This original production written, directed, and choreographed by CJay Philip, will debut in Baltimore, MD July 30th - August 2nd, 2019 before being presenting at the Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage, Aug 3rd.
This show set in a High School, is filled with fresh yet familiar renditions of George Bizet’s compositions, as well as a dozen original songs from pop to hip hop and R&B.
