The event begins at 4:30 pm with a recital by Diné (Navajo) musicologist and pianist Renata Yazzie whose work focuses on Navajo hymnody and the art of translation.
Come out and see a large collection of Willys and Jeeps at the historic Union Mills Homestead. This is one of the largest vintage Jeep shows on the East Coast. See World War II and Korean War era military Jeeps and the civilian Jeeps and utility vehicles that are the grandfathers of today’s Jeeps & SUVs.

Come to the Jewish Museum of Maryland on the morning of October 22 for a closing celebration of our core exhibition, Voices of Lombard Street: A Century of Change in East Baltimore.
Voices of Lombard Street, which has been on view since 2007, tells the stories of the people who have lived, worked, and created community on Lombard Street in East Baltimore, including African Americans and Jewish, Italian, and Lithuanian immigrants. It is coming down to accommodate major renovations in the JMM’s galleries and a new core exhibition to be presented in 2025.
The area surrounding the Jewish Museum of Maryland was the center of immigrant Jewish life in Baltimore in the early 1900s, but today only a few remnants of its Jewish past survive. Voices of Lombard Street tells the story of this historic neighborhood from then until now.
The exhibition chronicles a place of constant change, where people of different backgrounds lived, worked, created community—and came together in the renowned Jewish market known as Lombard Street. The exhibition is currently on display in the JMM’s Shoshana S. and Jerome Cardin Exhibition Gallery.
In addition to a tour of the exhibit and a poetry reading, the artists and poets and reception attendees will participate in improvisational storytelling and discussion with the DC Playback Theater Troup.
