Fantastic Fungi, directed by Louie Schwartzberg, is a consciousness-shifting film that takes us on an immersive journey through time and scale into the magical earth beneath our feet, an underground network that can heal and save our planet. Through the eyes experts such as scientist Paul Stamets and author Michael Pollan, we awaken to the beauty, intelligence and solutions the fungi kingdom offers.
Soufra follows the unlikely and wildly inspirational story of intrepid social entrepreneur, Mariam Shaar – a generational refugee who has spent her entire life in the Burj El Barajneh refugee camp just south of Beirut, Lebanon. The film follows Mariam as she sets out against all odds to change her fate by launching a successful catering company, “Soufra,” and then expand it into a food truck business with a diverse team of fellow refugee women who now share this camp as their home.

Join us for a screening of The Mamboniks, a 90-minute documentary film that tells the little-known story of the Jewish love affair with Latin music. This fun, uplifting film features a lovable, somewhat zany collection of dancers from the 1950s who share their passion for the mambo, the hot dance from Cuba that became a world-wide sensation.
