Join MPT as it hosts the 3rd annual Artworks Uncorked & Untapped. Enjoy regional artists with local breweries and wineries to celebrate Artworks, an MPT original series with host Rhea Feikin. In complement to the American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM's) thematic mega-exhibition, "Parenting: An Art Without A Manual," the museum presents its annual, free-to-all, but reservations required, "Logan Visionary Conference: The Art of Parenting" on Sunday, March 24, 1-4pm. With generous underwriting by the Chicago-based Reva and David Logan Foundation, participants can hear and ask questions from a world-class array of inspirational expert presenters and scientific researchers in the field of family wellbeing, child trauma, and positive parent and child attachment.

Jazz pianist Cesar Orozcohas created a set of music for strings and big band using rhythms and forms from Cuba and Venezuela. Award-winning dance artist Stephanie Martinez’s work Destino Roto (Broken Destiny) will focus on women’s strengths as she draws from her Mexican and Spanish heritage. A collection highlights tour takes place at 11 a.m.—explore the galleries with a member of our staff, hear the stories behind the artifacts on display and learn about Maryland’s rich history. Groups of 10 or more people must book the tour ahead of time.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Maryland presents the 8th Annual Red Shoe Shuffle 5K Run and Walk on Sunday, April 7, 2019, beginning at 8:30 am. Join us as we take one last lap around our neighborhood at Lexington Street. Starting at the Ronald McDonald House, shufflers will wind their way through downtown and the Inner Harbor taking in Baltimore iconic sites and landmarks before returning to the finish line at the House. Help us reach our $400,000 fundraising goal as we celebrate the Happiest Day in Baltimore and get set to move into Our New House in late Spring 2019.
Children’s Chorus of Maryland & School of Music holds their annual Open House & Music Class Demonstration Day on Saturday, April 13th from 8am to 1pm. Parents, children (5 1/2 and older) and teachers can drop in throughout the day to observe music classes, talk to staff and enjoy refreshments. Teachers may choose to observe any of the classes during the morning. Parents may want to observe a class with students near the age of their own children. Havre de Grace- Celebrate Maryland at The 2nd Annual Lock House Craft Beer and Wine Festival on April 13, 2019 from 12 pm to 5 pm at the Susquehanna Lock House Museum (817 Conesteo St., Havre de Grace, MD 21078).
This event is 21 and older, rain or shine, event will feature some of the best Maryland breweries, wineries, and distilleries such as Peabody Heights, Raven Beer, Heavy Seas, Fin City Brewing Company, Alecraft Brewery, Maryland Beer Company, Old Oriole Park Brewery, Independent Brewing Company, Whistle Stop Winery, Dove Valley Winery, il Dolce Winery, Fiore Winery, Blue Dyer Distilling, Lyon Distilling, Twin Valley Distillers, Gray Wolf Craft Distilling, and Tenth Ward Distilling Company. The festival will also feature live music, artisans, and food celebrating all things Maryland.
