Come browse a cozy selection of thoughtfully curated secondhand books during Art is Alive in Pikesville! We’ll have affordable books across genres and age ranges, perfect for finding your next comforting read, hidden gem, or rainy day book stack.
We’ll also have a Book Donation Station at the booth, so feel free to bring gently used books to donate while you explore the festival.

About Art is Alive:
Forbidden love, mistaken identities, banishment, and a magic potion—The Tale of Cymbeline follows Princess Imogen of Britain on a quest for reconciled love. Experience it outdoors at Patapsco Female Institute in Historic Ellicott City, where audiences can bring a picnic and wine, gather under the stars, and enjoy one of Maryland’s favorite summer theatre traditions.
Performances run June 12–July 19, and kids under 18 get in FREE with a paying adult.

What is a cake exchange?
The Margin is Now the Center: Contested Bodies on Screen is an exploration of Queer, Birthing and Marginalized bodies. This short film/video program, part of Towson University's month-long Summer at The Center Festival, will showcase work from artists and activists who are exploring what it means to be embodied and fully accepting of oneself during a time when marginalized bodies are actively being attacked politically and socially.
