“There is power in our rest and in our ability to slow down for the sake of collective healing and mourning. It's time to rest.” – The Nap Ministry
Facts show us that in our society, womxn of color are the most deprived of rest. Historically, we've been the ones in positions of care and service. We've been the caregivers, the service providers, and the problem solvers. The age of COVID 19 has just amplified this critical work. And we're tired, still.
Join author Matthew Norman to discuss his novel Last Couple Standing in the latest installment of the Enoch Pratt Free Library and Ivy Bookshop's "Writers: CRIBS!" series. This event will take place on Crowdcast.

Educated is a bestselling memoir by a young woman who was born to survivalists in the mountains of Idaho and grew up isolated from mainstream society, with no formal education until the age of 17. Her quest for knowledge took her to Harvard and Cambridge, transformed her into a new person, and drove a wedge between her and some of her family.
