Alexandra Deutsch whose vintage persona on Instagram is @volumes_of_vintage, is a fashion historian, vintage collector and creator of the #lovelettertobaltimorevintage social media campaign. In her talk, Quarantine Fashion: A Love Letter to Baltimore Vintage she will discuss the phenomenon of fashion in quarantine. Her illustrated chat will explore how people are connecting through clothing not only in Baltimore, but on a global scale.
By referencing multiple wisdom traditions in his work, Alex Grey’s paintings point toward an inclusive vision, and a universal sacredness, that extends to his great reverence for nature. Allyson Grey is a painter, social sculptor, and Alex’s creative and life partner since meeting in art school in 1975. Join us for a tour of the Grey's studio with live Q&A. This virtual program, hosted by the Maryland Historical Society, will explore the historical, social, and environmental factors that have shaped the way seafood has been accessed and perceived for centuries.
