Juneteenth Tilapia Rainbows
By Phill Branch
October 9 & 10
Have you ever experienced someone randomly breakdancing at you, or touching your hair without permission, or just walking up to you and shouting in a RuPaul-esque tone, “You better werk!”? Storyteller Phill Branch has experienced all of the above…and he’s got stories.
Juneteenth Tilapia Rainbows explores the dizzying realities of being Black, gay, free…and tired of fake “inclusion.” Phill uses wit and reflection to think through what it means to just be yourself.
Hear from women who worked at Sparrows Point about the challenges and opportunities they experienced at the steel mill in this one-hour discussion at the North Point Branch of Baltimore County Public Library. Audience members will have an open Q&A and an opportunity to share personal stories after the discussion. Presented in partnership with the Baltimore Museum of Industry.
This program is free to all, no registration required.
