Terrain of Memory brings together a series of landscapes that explore the subtle intersection between place and recollection. Rather than documenting specific sites, these works investigate how memory reshapes terrain—softening edges, heightening light, and compressing time. The land becomes both subject and vessel: layered, weathered, and quietly transformative. Atmosphere plays a central role. Shifts in color, horizon, and spatial depth suggest moments suspended between observation and remembrance.
The Annapolis Symphony Academy's Orion Youth Orchestra plays Nancy Galbraith’s Midnight Stirring, performing side-by-side with their ASO musician-mentors—a powerful symbol of music’s ability to inspire across generations, conducted by Claire Lewis. Maestro José-Luis Novo conducts the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra's performance of Reynaldo Moya’s vibrant Polo Romanesco and Shostakovich’s gripping Symphony No. 5—a journey from darkness to triumph that remains one of the most powerful works of the 20th century.
Join our 2-hour in-person workshop, "Embrace Spontaneity: Intro to Improv." It's a low-pressure, fun experience designed for newcomers. Connect with others through introductions, establish boundaries, and engage in energizing warmups, games, and collaborative scenes.

JAMES ARMSTRONG Born into a musical family in 1957 in Los Angeles, James Armstrong had blues music in his blood from the very start. His Mom was a blues singer, his Dad played jazz guitar. Armstrong formed his first band in the 7th grade, and by age 17 he was touring the country. James would start making waves on the local California blues circuit by his 20s, becoming the youngest member of Smokey Wilson's band. In the 1980s, James was a founding member of the band Mama Roo and received his first recording contract for Crescendo Records.

Kulture Check is Baltimore's only monthly (FIRST MONDAY OF EVERY MONTH) Black culture trivia night. I created it because there are plenty of happy hours, brunches, and networking events, but almost no spaces built around celebrating Black culture in a fun, interactive way. Every month, teams compete through music, movies, sports, history, TV, and pop culture while supporting local Black businesses and organizations. It's competitive, social, and designed for people who want something different than the usual night out.
