Instructor Ben Iluzada of 2 Step Press returns to teach participants about the art of moku-hanga, or Japanese printing. Using the works in the Japanese Woodblock Prints exhibition as inspiration, attendees will carve their own designs into shino blocks and make prints to share with the class.

The Boister solstice shows have become something of a tradition at An Die Musik Live. Anne Watts, Craig Considine, Warren Boes, Lyle Kissack, Chas Marsh, John Dierker, Jim Hannah, Glenn Workman, and Watts' daughter Posie Lewis -- the all-star Baltimore mainstay of chamber pop -- offers up a festive assortment of raucous and delicate tunes from their repertoire, as well as twists on holiday classics from Joni Mitchell to Tchaikovsky.

A rare appearance by Baltimore native Nico Sarbanes with renowned Jazz bassist Ben Wolfe
Wynton Marsalis said, “Ben Wolfe swings with authority.” Including his recent Posi-Tone Records release, “The Whisperer,” bassist-?composer Ben Wolfe has released eight CDs comprised solely of his original music. Chamber Music America awarded him the 2004 New Works: Creation and Presentation Program Grant, funded through the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation. As a result of this award, Wolfe was able to compose his extended composition Contradiction: Music for Sextet.
