The ANIMATION SHOW OF SHOWS returns to theaters across North America this fall, presenting 16 exceptional and inspiring animated shorts from around the world. At a time of increasing social instability and global anxiety about a range of issues, the works in this year’s show have a special resonance, presenting compelling ideas about our place in society and how we fit into the world.
The Borromeo String Quartet pairs its fierce and fiery playing with the spirited agility of Israeli-born pianist Benjamin Hochman. The program features string quartets by Mendelssohn and Sebastian Currier, as well as Dvořák's dynamic Piano Quintet.
Cozy up on a brisk winter night and join us for an evening of tantalizing Sotto Sopra cuisine. Our performers will regale you with your favorite arias that tell the stories of lives and loves both won and lost. Hear their amazing voices as they envelop Sotto Sopra's 19th century dining room. The acoustics are amazing, the singers engaging and the food---aah, the food reflects the deft hand that is Italian.

Otherworld is honored to play a return engagement at Germano's, Baltimore's prime venue for jazz and cabaret. The contemporary jazz quartet will feature premieres of new tunes as well as fan favorites from our award-winning debut album.
Otherworld has played at jazz clubs, colleges, museums, and outdoor concerts around the Maryland/DC region; on Baltimore television; in live streaming across the United States; and on the radio nationally and internationally. We garnered a Global Music Award for our album, "Otherworld".
Otherworld blends jazz, classical, and Middle Eastern influences, played on a mix of acoustic and electric instruments. The band performs original compositions with an emphasis on improvisation.
“Otherworld”, the group’s debut recording, won a Global Music Award, placing among the top 10 in the “Album” category from among hundreds of entries worldwide.
The album has been featured on NPR affiliate WYPR-FM, Baltimore; Jazz Standard Internet Radio, London; the BIRN (Berklee Internet Radio Network), Boston; and WPFW-FM, Washington D.C.’s premiere jazz station, among others.

Opportunities to view indigenous peoples through the eyes of indigenous photographers are rare and recent. This photographic exhibition features the work of indigenous artists from North America, Peru, Iraq, and New Zealand. Distinctive in its historical reach, the exhibition includes newly discovered 19th-century trailblazers, members of the next generation of emerging photographers, and well established contemporary practitioners.
Healing Through Art: Art Therapy Degree Announced and Explored in New Exhibit at NDMU
Baltimore, MD - Notre Dame of Maryland University (NDMU) Gormley Gallery presents a new exhibit featuring reproductions of works from Holocaust victims, along with original works created in art therapy sessions. The exhibit coincides with the launch of Notre Dame’s new undergraduate and graduate degree in art therapy and offers an opportunity for viewers to see the healing power of the creative process.
McDaniel music lecturer Alice Tung and her husband, James Tung, perform viola and violin duets by Mozart, Martinu and John Williams during Monday Night Music. In addition to McDaniel, Alice Tung teaches at Carroll Community College. James Tung is an adjunct professor at Mount St. Mary’s University. The Tungs also direct the Urbana School for Strings
Quiet, reclusive and massively talented Billy Colucci’s name is known to Baltimoreans who really know their jazz.
Siriki Diabate, who was a journalist before being forced to flee the Ivory Coast in 2005 after being threatened because of his reporting in opposition of the government, speaks about his experience immigrating to the United States. Diabate became a naturalized United States citizen in 2013 and earned both a bachelor’s degree in political science and international studies in 2014 and a master’s degree in business administration in 2016 from Shepherd University in W.Va.
