Ambassador James A. Joseph will reflect on diversity in the conservation space and decades of service in his presentation, “The Passion of a Patriot: A Journey from Private Virtues to Public Values." Ambassador Joseph began his career at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in 1963, where he helped found and lead the local civil rights movement. He was also the founding chair of the Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal government agency that now engages more than five million Americans in service through AmeriCorps and other programs.
