Charm City Ballet (CCB) presents their 9th annual full-length ballet production of A Christmas Carol. Columbia Pro Cantare Chamber Singers Celebrate the Holidays with “A Christmas Noel”

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 5 pm, the Columbia Pro Cantare Chamber Singers will present its annual holiday concert, “A Christmas Noel” at Christ Episcopal Church, 6800 Oakland Mills Road in Columbia. The program includes festive music from four centuries, some old, some new, in the acoustically rich sanctuary of Christ Church. The Chamber Singers comprise a small ensemble of the larger CPC chorus, selected for their vocal ability and harmonious sound.

Join us at An die Musik Live for new music led by dynamic and innovative emerging artist, Nicolaus Gelin. His quintet will take you on a journey that reflects a sophisticated blend of jazz tradition and contemporary creativity. This performance, led by one of the most promising new voices in jazz, promises a fresh perspective on the genre, highlighting the diverse, ever-evolving nature of jazz through a series of compositions that are both deeply rooted and forward-looking.

Join us for the latest iteration of IN PLAIN SIGHT(site), an occasional performance series curated by Carly J Bales and Laure Drogoul. Each iteration, a cycle of artists present new works exploring the concept of portals and doorways to other realities. Audiences are encouraged to move around and through the performances as they rise and fall across different areas of the space.

They will also discuss the cello’s path toward instrumental equality through Beethoven and Brahms. This will be an afternoon of musical masterpieces with commentary and discussion.
