About this class:
Over six weeks, you will develop the core skills needed to host and perform a professional showcase of improv comedy. Highwire Improv's expert instructors will be with you every step of the way, holding the space to make silly choices, explore comedy, and learn how to create art together. By the end of the class, you will be an ensemble ready to host and put on a full student showcase!
Each class session will run from 6:30pm-8:30pm ET, with optional time available after class to discuss and debrief.
Senior Adjunct Lecturer Shelley Ensor, who directs the McDaniel College Gospel Choir, performs folk, blues, jazz, gospel, rock, and R&B selections.

We know that you can, and this class will show you how! Learn the fundamentals of improv comedy with two skilled and supportive instructors. We'll play some very silly games, learn how to create characters, explore techniques to collaborate and create as a team, and even perform full improvised scenes together!
The Center for Innovation, Research, and Creativity in the Arts (CIRCA) presents cellist Juan Sebastián Delgado, faculty fellow for diversity in the arts, who will discuss Imaginary Tangos: Research, improvisation, and performance practice in contemporary tango music.

On Weekend Two, Annapolis Jazz & Roots is thrilled to blast off with The JoGo Project, a WAMMIE Award-winning Jazz and Go-Go band originating in Washington, D.C. Ronny Chieng is a stand up comedian, actor and Correspondent on "The Daily Show". In addition to two Netflix stand-up comedy specials, Ronny has starred in "Crazy Rich Asians", Marvel's "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings", "M3GAN", "American Born Chinese", "Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.", "Vacation Friends 2", "Joy Ride" and will star in the upcoming Hulu series "Interior Chinatown".

Brandon Born is a 22-year old guitarist from Bel Air, Maryland, studying at the Peabody onservatory. He’s an up-and-coming artist who has worked with Obasi Akoto, Gary Grainger, Tom Williams, Lafayette Gilchrist, Luis Hernandez, Andrea Brachfeld, Alan Blackman, Blake Meister, Greg Boyer, Jeff Reed and Russell Kirk.
