Blazing fiddle virtuosity with six of the region's most accomplished fiddlers in an evening of old-time, bluegrass, Irish, and Scottish music. Ken & Brad Kolodner, anchors of the area's burgeoning old-time music scene, will burn up the crowd with their brand of fiddling, hammered dulcimer, and banjo music. They’ll be joined by Rachel Eddy, who dazzles with her old-time fiddling prowess. The High & Wides deliver with their brand of rootsy, rockabilly, bluegrass-tinged music featuring Nate Grower on fiddle.

Annapolis-based act Kings of Crownsville are a roots Rock band with a New Orleans flavor. The brainchild of New Orleans-raised guitarist/singer/songwriterSteve Johnson, the Kings play a rollicking, entertaining set that stirs Americana, Blues, and Jazz into the mix.
Their signature horn section transports listeners to the streets of the Big Easy, while they also add precise three- and four-part harmonies to their musical gumbo. Think Louis Armstrong meets Steely Dan.

Indulge in the warmth and joy of Spring by listening to some favorite choral music. Vivaldi's Gloria will be featured, along with excerpts from Mozart's Requiem, "How Lovely is thy dwelling place" from Brahm's Requiem and "Dona nobis pacem" from Bach's Mass in B Minor.
The Harford Choral Society will be performing these and other choral favorites for its spring concert.
Under the direction of music lecturer Shelley Ensor, McDaniel College’s Gospel Choir performs traditional and contemporary gospel music.
The Columbia Pro Cantare chorus will commemorate the centennial of the end of World War I with a concert, “Over There: Music of ‘The Great War’,” Saturday, May 5, 2018, 8 pm. The chorus, soloists, and The Lexington Brass Quintet will perform both classical works and popular songs of the period highlighting different perspectives on the war. The chorus and the Columbia Pro Cantare Chamber Singers will be under the direction of Frances Motyca Dawson. Joining CPC for this concert will be baritone Rob McGinness, soprano Kayla Currie, and pianists Erik Apland and Sammy Marshall.

The Second Annual Baltimore Piano Marathon Concert

Baltimore Choral Arts presents Duruflé Requiem
Anthony Blake Clark opens the concert with a salute to English composers, including Benjamin Britten and Edward Elgar. Honoring Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday, Blake will lead the chorus in Bernstein’s beloved Chichester Psalms. The program also includes the music of Maurice Duruflé, highlighted by the original version of his Requiem, featuring internationally-acclaimed organist Jeremy Filsell and showcasing the magnificent organ in the historic St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Children’s Chorus of Maryland celebrates its 42nd spring concert Awaken! on May 6th, 2018. We invite you to join us in welcoming the spring with Awaken! Three children’s choirs will perform selections celebrating the coming alive of all that is missed during the long, cold winter. Awaken! includes works by Fauré, Duruflé, Morley, Handel & more. Reception for performers, friends and family to follow the concert! Children under age 5 cannot be admitted due to live recording. Tickets for Awaken! are $15.00 for students and seniors (65+).

A pre-concert Choral Conversation will be held at 2:00 pm inside the church.
Margaret Boudreaux, director of choral activities at McDaniel, leads the Masterworks Chorale, with McDaniel College organist Ted Dix as accompanist. Fauré’s “Requiem” is the concert’s prominent work.
