Hey friends! Time to sing! Let's create new songs instantly. Join us for a night of on-the-spot song crafting. It doesn't matter if you've ever sung a note, or you're someone who's never picked up an instrument before—everyone is welcome.
We'll also play a variety of improv and musical improv games!
At this meet-up, you'll learn to create brand-new songs instantly, whether you're an improv veteran or stepping into the musical improv scene for the first time. Just come ready to have a blast and let your creativity flow.

By the early 1980s, American composer Morton Feldman (1926–1987) began to create works of unusually long duration, featuring intricate interplays of pitches and patterns that slowly unfold (and sometimes suddenly change) over time. Among these works is the evening-length solo piano composition Triadic Memories (1981), performed in this concert by distinguished pianist and composer Amy Williams.

Opening with a public reception on Thursday, April 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., the exhibition features four artists with diverse artistic practices and approaches: Elly Kalantari, Andrew Liang, Kristin Putchinski, and A. M. Zellhofer.
Brush up your sewing skills or try your hand at a new craft over drinks at April’s Free First Thursday. Participants decorate their own quilt square while learning the basics of quilting. Local quilt enthusiasts will join to provide guidance and ideas, and share some of their current projects. Participants are encouraged to bring their own scrap fabrics or choose from an assortment of provided materials. Museum admission is free all day for Free First Thursday.

This workshop will cover business basics with a focus on finding success and sustainability as an independent artist. It will include discussions on practical things you can do as an artist to protect, promote, and grow your artistic practice, experiential advice from guest artists, and an overview of entrepreneurial resources for artists in the Baltimore area.
