OPUS CONCERT THEATRE PRESENTS "NABUCCO"
Opus Concert Theatre proudly presents Giuseppe Verdi's masterpiece, Nabucco. Direct from the Bible (587 BC books of Jeremiah & Daniel), Nabucco is the story of a leader (King of Babylon - Nebuchadnezzar) who declares himself to be above the laws of God & Man. Nabucco reveals a love that crosses religious/racial boundaries, faces political lies, manipulations for power, enslavement of the Jews (minorities) and God's final judgement and justice. Semi-Staged Concert Version, with soloists, chorus, sung in English and Italian.

Join us every third Wednesday at the Cabaret at Germano's for Baltimore's Best Open Mic Night. Dinner is served beginning at 6:00. Sign-up is at 7:00 and the performance begins at 7:30. JOSHUA BREAKSTONE CD RELEASE A TRIBUTE TO ART BLAKEY & THE JAZZ MESSENGERS
October, 2019 marks the 100th anniversary of the great jazz drummer Art Blakey. Noted New York be-bop guitarist Joshua Breakstone will be touring throughout the US from September-November in support of the October release of his new recording on Capri Records, “Children of Art”, a tribute to Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers.
KINGS OF CROWNSVILLE
Annapolis-based act Kings of Crownsville are a roots Rock band with a New Orleans flavor. The brainchild of New Orleans-raised guitarist/singer/songwriterSteve Johnson, the Kings play a rollicking, entertaining set that stirs Americana, Blues, and Jazz into the mix.
Their signature horn section transports listeners to the streets of the Big Easy, while they also add precise three- and four-part harmonies to their musical gumbo. Think Louis Armstrong meets Steely Dan.
ERIC COMSTOCK AND BARBARA FASANO IN "COME A LITTLE CLOSER"
ERIC COMSTOCK & BARBARA FASANO, whose electrifying combination of warmth, wit, swing and sensuality have made them the nightclub world's most celebrated team, return to Germano’swith their fast-paced and swinging exploration of The Great American Songbook, then and now. And on Saturday, once again they’ll be teaching a Master Class.
SING THE TRUTH MASTER CLASS WITH ERIC COMSTOCK AND BARBARA FASANO
We are delighted to announce "Sing the Truth” A Master Class with Barbara Fasano and Eric Comstock to be held at Germano's on Saturday, October 26th,11:30am-4:30pm. There are slots for 8 singers and 12 observers. Each singer will have an opportunity to work with Eric and Barbara for 30 minutes. During this time, you will have an opportunity to present one or more songs and they will provide you with specific guidance and suggestions for improving your performance.

Charisma Wooten’s most endearing characteristic is a deep respect for the cabaret performing tradition and her desire to share it with her audience. In this concert she [pays] tribute to icons such as Mabel Mercer, Billie Holiday, Eartha Kitt, and Josephine Baker. Indeed, the highlight of the evening [is] “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love” in the style of Rose Murphy (The Chee Chee Girl) and Louis Armstrong.

Germano's kicks off the eleventh year of this wonderful collaboration with the Baltimore School for the Arts. Tonight we welcome the talented BSA theater students under the direction of Roz Cauthen and Becky Mossing and their British colleagues from Showdown Theatre Arts UK under the direction of Carli Jones in a cabaret in preparation for their joint production to be debuted in the spring on the West End in London. Ms. Jones and Ms. Mossing will perform cabaret material with the students.

Many of the compositions from the Great American Songbook and jazz standards describe the opposing extremes of being in love, using metaphors such as hot vs. cold, high vs. low, clarity vs. bewilderment, and sunshine vs. stormy weather. Join vocalist Tony Ziesat and pianist Stef Scaggiari as they explore that intoxicating body of music!
If you already attended "The Roller Coaster Of Love" in the past, please note that the upcoming show will include a number of songs not previously performed in that program.
