Hannah LIVE is hitting the festival circuit later this year! But first, Hannah Alden Jeffrey's hit solo show is hitting Mick O'Shea's Irish Pub. Come see the show audiences all over Baltimore have called "loud!" Characters, stand up, audience participation -- it's never the same, but it's always super fun!
Doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8ish. The show takes place in the pub's back room. Seating is EXTREMELY limited, reserve tickets in advance to guarantee your seats.
Lace up your running shoes and mark your calendars for August 3, 2024, as we invite runners and walkers of all ages to join us for our highly anticipated 15th Annual 5k/1-Mile Walk at the Maryland Zoo! Participants will receive a tech shirt, race bib, and finisher medal. We'll have awards for the largest team, most spirited team and top fundraising team too!

Explore the enduring mystery surrounding Poe’s tragic end on a special Bus Tour of Edgar Allan Poe’s Life and Death in Baltimore. The 90-minute tour ticket includes stops at four important Poe Places around Baltimore, including Poe’s graves (he has two!) plus the sites where Poe was found and passed away. Bus ticket also includes tour of the Edgar Allan Poe House & Museum. Please note that Poe House is an historic site and not ADA accessible (there is no elevator or ramp to the second floor.)
Our 11th Annual Summer Plein Air Show, featuring works by 37 Plein Air Artists, is in full swing and on display in both Crystal Moll Gallery and Highlandtown Gallery. All showcased pieces were completed on location, out in the elements.
Artists have been invited to paint in the area that morning and turn in their wet paintings at 3pm for a Wet Paint Sale out on the sidewalk.

Night Owl Gallery is home to six resident artists that will have staggered Open Studios throughout the weekend. There will be a showcase of their work on the third floor in the hall. Stairs to the third floor studios are located through the Main Gallery.

Virginia Warwick’s site-specific work transforms our secondary gallery into the illusion of a cozy, oceanic womb full of plastics, inviting viewers to question their relationship with the environment.
Magan Ruthke's solo exhibition, The Plains, explores her recent time on the high plains through a body of work that celebrates the northwest Nebraskan landscape and honors the region's history. Ruthke's thoughtfully patterned mixed media and wood-driven pieces bring the area's beauty and heritage to life. On view in the Main Gallery through September 7. Artscape, Baltimore Choral Arts, and Friends present “Baltimore’s Big Sing”, the Artscape Festival’s massive free sing-along.

Dana Claxton (Wood Mountain Lakota First Nations) presents a solo exhibition of her large-scale, backlit, color transparency photography, which she terms “fireboxes.” Works from her Lasso and Headdress series, including a newly commissioned Headdress portrait, draw together contemporary Native subjects with regalia and items from the subject’s own cultures. The exhibition situates many of the objects depicted in the firebox images alongside objects from the BMA’s historic Native art collection.
Experience QuinTango: Hear the heartbeat of classical Argentinian tango channeled by a quintet of top-notch female chamber musicians and their crackerjack bandoneon player. This is tango like you’ve never imagined it: classical chops, jazz harmonies, and intimate arrangements written for the group by outstanding composers in Buenos Aires. ‘Chamber tango’ is the result of this musical alchemy, a middle ground that draws in lovers of both classical and non-classical music to experience the fullness of life—the stories, the culture, and the exhilaration of tango.
