Ledah Finck will share a solo set of traditional, original, and contemporary Celtic tunes. Growing up in the mountains of North Carolina, she has been performing on fiddle since the age of 8. An alumna of the Peabody Conservatory as of 2018, she now lives in New York City where she is active with her string quartet, the Bergamot Quartet.

UMBC's Center for Innovation, Research and Creativity in the Arts (CIRCA) presents Marnie Ellen Hertzler and Corey Hughes. Hertzler is a video artist, animator and filmmaker working in experimental narrative and hybrid documentary; Hughes is director and cinematographer traversing narrative, documentary and experimental realms. The two will discuss their individual work as well as their director-cinematographer collaborations.

This series will offer current information and practical strategies for promoting mental wellness in faith communities. Participants will be empowered to help their communities end the stigma surrounding mental health conditions. We encourage participants to attend each presentation in the series. Co-authors Richard Carlin and Ken Bloom, with Martina Kado, PhD, the Maryland Center for History and Culture's Director of Publications, explore how they used Baltimore-born composer and pianist James Herbert “Eubie” Blake’s personal collections—housed in the MCHC’s H. Furlong Baldwin Library—to write their biography, Eubie Blake: Rags, Rhythm, and Race.
