AMP Up! encourages Baltimore Creatives 16-24 years old to create origional songs and new works. The creative process begins with writing workshops led by mentors. Professionals in the field give feedback and pro tips on the creative and song writing process. Spring mentors include artist producer, songwriter, DJ Von Vargas, singer, songwriter Sahffi, and music producer and television sound engineer Winston Philip.
Hop in all day long with your scout or with your troop for a free scout craft. Make a Caterpillar SWAPS for your next campfire! (While supplies last)
This is not a drop off event. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The VLP Librarian will assist patrons with the following skills:
Discover a lifelong hobby -- knitting!
Learn how to knit with Jayne! Total of two sessions.
We begin this technique course with the basics, such as how to hold the knitting needles and yarn, and progress you through all the basic stitches. This class is taught in the English-style of knitting (controlling the yarn with your right hand). Step-by-step, you will learn the skills needed to confidently knit any beginner-level pattern. You will be provided with some beginner patterns which you will be able to knit after the last session.
Dance & Bmore offers FREE adult ballet classes this fall! All experience levels are welcome. Wear clothes to move in and be ready to plié!

Maryland Art Place (MAP) is happy to continue KIDOOO, a youth version of Out of Order! KIDOOO was created as an opportunity for young artists to exhibit their work in a major arts venue, expanding MAP's services to students in elementary, middle, and high school level arts classes.
The opening of KIDOOO will take place in tandem with MAP's annual Out of Order event on April 21, 2022.
In partnership with PCs For People, Village Learning Place will hold computer classes for adults who seek to improve or learn more about the basics of computer use. Computer classes will be held Mondays, 5:30PM – 7:00PM starting April 17th and ending May 15th. Classes will take place inside the VLP Library at 2521 Saint Paul St, Baltimore, MD 21218.

Village Learning Place is offering Pre-GED math prep help for adults in the community who seek to improve their math skills for the GED test. Tutoring sessions will be held in the VLP Library at 2521 Saint Paul St, Baltimore, MD 21218 on Wednesdays, 5:30PM – 7:00PM beginning April 19th and ending May 24th. There will be no session on May 17th. Village Learning Place math tutoring sessions are free and open to the public. Drop-ins are welcome.

We’re excited to announce the launch of the “Virtually Creative” after-school program.
The “Virtually Creative” after school program is an extension of our onsite programming that takes place at John Ruhrah Elementary/ Middle and Tench Tilghman Elementary/ Middle. In an effort to continue supporting our schools we are providing afterschool programming online. Each day, students receive homework help and hangout time to connect with friends. They will also have virtual Restorative Practice circles every Friday. Below is a detailed breakdown of the Virtually Creative schedule.
