Air Dance Bernasconi celebrates aerial dance’s rich and vibrant history in performance using a variety of aerial feats, spoken word, narration and visual projection to bring to life the movers shakers who challenged and changed the face of modern dance in the late 1960’s and 70’s. Aerial View highlights 10 aerial pioneers including Stephanie Evanitsky, Terry Sendgraff, and Robert Davidson.

Jayne Bernasconi is also a pioneer and founded Air Dance Bernasconi in Baltimore when she introduced this unique dance form to the Baltimore/DC area back in 1999. Guest artists include Jayne’s mentor and dear friend, Nancy Smith, from Boulder, Colorado. (Bernasconi and Smith co-wrote the book Aerial Dance) and others (TBA). Air Dance Bernasconi celebrates 21 years of performing at Baltimore Theatre Project.
