This is the live Latin Jazz experience the city has been waiting for! If you have been looking for one exceptional space in which to experience live Latin music, history, food and culture, then look no further! A concert featuring “Cuaba Latin Jazz”, a virtuosic trio led by percussionist Joel Santiago, pianist Bienvenido Dinsey-Peralta and bassist Jose “Chuco” Mendoza, will take place at 8:00 pm on January 30th, 2020, at An die Musik, one of Baltimore’s premier venues for jazz, classical, and world music. They have performed internationally in various African and Latin American countries.
A one-hour salsa dance class will precede the concert, with the wonderful Tabitha Hitchye, owner of Dance and Expressions Studio and the Director of Baltimore Salsa Dance Company. The monthly concert series will include local percussion legends in Latin jazz, such as Rene Ibañez, Alfredo Mojica, Leo Lucini and many more featured guests from around Latin America.
