Writer, provocateur and punk rocker Damon Norko presents his take on the current state of American affairs — an unvarnished but un-slanted look at the way people negotiate the political landmines of everyday life.

Properties! is set in a typical Baltimore bar called The Drunken Donkey, which struggles with being tagged a a Democrat bar during the election of 2016. The election brings a new owner and a change of name as the bar becomes The Elevated Elephant. However, bar proprietorship is not new owner Neal Armistead’s strong suit, as a series of misjudgments and miscues lead to another unexpected change.

Properties! is a play set in that friendly neighborhood place where everybody knows your name . . . AND your politics.

It is a play about NOW, but it also suggests there could be a way back to that halcyon time of only a few years ago.
