HAILEY BRICKER AND MATTHEW GRAY IN "YOUNG LOVE AND ITS MISADVENTURES"

HAILEY BRICKER AND MATTHEW GRAY IN "YOUNG LOVE AND ITS MISADVENTURES"

In their debut performance, Matthew Gray and Hailey Bricker will explore the premise of young love and it’s many misadventures through works that span countless centuries - from Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro to Justin Paul and Benj Pasek’s Dear Evan Hansen. The duo invites you to partake in this experience at Germano’s, and they look forward to performing for you!

Tenor, Matthew Gray is a Shepherd University graduate, who studied under the direction of Dr. Robert Tudor. He grew up in Magnolia, Delaware, and has enjoyed singing in various musical ensemble settings whether it be a local community theatre, a jazz combo, chamber choir, or an opera workshop. Matthew had the privilege of joining the Shepherd Ram Band as their vocalist for their 2017 marching band season, as well as being a tenor soloist for the Masterworks Chorale performance of Bach’s Missa in G Major (BWV 236) and Nach Herr dir, verlanget mich (BWV 150). Matthew has most recently performed as Adam in Shepherd's production of The Apple Tree. He has also been seen at Shepherd performing the roles of Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance, Laurie Laurence in Little Women: The Musical, Lord Mountararat in Gilbert & Sullivan's Iolanthe, and Bobby Strong in The Shepherd University Scene Stealers' production of Urinetown. He has a passion for being on the stage and plans to attend graduate school to continue his studies.

Hailey Bricker is a recent Shepherd University graduate, studying vocal technique under the direction of soprano, Brooke Evers. During her time at Shepherd, Hailey has actively performed with the choral groups Women’s Camerata, Masterworks Chorale, and Chamber Choir. She recently played Passionella in Shepherd’s production of The Apple Tree, and previously, Meg in Little Women: The Musical. Hailey has worked with Authentic Community Theater through the Nora Roberts Grant in the Storytelling in the Parks/Libraries shows, performing for numerous children’s groups in improvisation shows. Additionally, Hailey has stage managed Shepherd University’s production of The Pirates of Penzance, shadowed at Docherty Talent Agency as a casting intern, and spent many summers as an instructor at Authentic Community Theater’s Summer Institute for the Arts. Hailey will be pursuing a career at Walt Disney World beginning in August.
