Counting the Flamingos

Loyola University Maryland’s School of Education and Loyola’s Center for Montessori Education welcomes Sam Chaltain, education author and blogger, for his lecture, “Counting the Flamingos: A systems approach to unlocking human potential,” on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 1:30-3 p.m. in McManus Theater.

In his lecture, Chaltain will discuss the trans-disciplinary inquiry into the future of learning, and what it might augur about the future of humanity. Chaltain is a partner at WONDER, a global design studio that helps schools and communities reimagine the future of learning at the intersection of space, culture, and story. He is the author of four books, and his writing has appeared in several publications, including the New York Times and Washington Post. He is a contributor to CNN and Huffington Post. He is the former speechwriter for each of President Obama’s U.S. Secretaries of Education.
