Neverland is back like you’ve never seen it before in this modern take on a classic childhood story. From playwright Joshua Conkel (MilkMilkLemonade, Netflix’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) comes a brand new version of Peter Pan, adapted in collaboration with Baltimore’s LGBTQ+ residents and service organizations. Peter and Wendy must face down murderous pirates and the island’s perils while grappling with questions of gender, sexuality, and performative identity. Familiar fantasy and true stories from Baltimore’s LGBTQ+ community blend as those who have been rejected and devalued build a home for themselves and each other: a stronghold against normalcy where Peter, the Darlings, and all the Lost Boys can be themselves. World premiere.
