Have you ever thought you would lose your mind? How do you know what is real? Did you know that a single bat can eat up to 1200 mosquitos in an hour?

BATS! is a mixed media, interactive contemplation on the nature of fear and madness. This newly created solo work is conceived and performed by Michele Minnick, created in collaboration with Submersive Productions. Through conversation, stories, sound, original illustrations by Baltimore artist Chelsea Demitras, and some accordion songs, this show explores the tricky landscape of reason and insanity. Blurring the lines between fact and fiction, past and present, BATS! connects an extra-ordinary personal narrative to a larger story: the all too ordinary madness of American culture.
