BSO Brass and Organ Concert

BSO Brass and Organ Concert

A top-notch quintet of Baltimore Symphony Orchestra brass musicians together with organist Michael Britt will present a concert that includes traditional brass and organ works and music of the season. Works by Couperin, Clérambault and Delalande and others will be followed by holiday works by Guaraldi, Tchaikovsy and Steve Allen (yes, that Steve Allen!) arranged by Sean O’Laughlin, as well as other favorites.

Brass players are BSO Principal Trumpet Andrew Balio, Assistant Principal Trumpet René Hernandez, Principal Horn Phil Munds, Principal Trombone Aaron LaVere, and Tuba player Chris Tiedeman. The organist is Michael Britt, nationally known organ recitalist and accompanist to silent films, and Music Minister at Brown Memorial Church. He will be playing the church's historic 1931 Skinner organ. BSO Percussionist Barry Dove will join the second half.

General Admission tickets are $20; students have free admission. Parking and shuttle service will be available. The church is wheelchair accessible.

This concert is sponsored by the Tiffany Series, named for Brown Memorial Church's unparalleled collection of 11 original Tiffany stained glass windows.
