20th Annual Reachout & Run to benefit HopeWell Cancer Support

20th Annual Reachout & Run to benefit HopeWell Cancer Support

In 1996, it was just an idea, a fundraising race for people with ALL kinds of cancer, because that kind of race didn’t exist in Baltimore. Who would have ever dreamed that 20 years later, HopeWell Cancer Support would be celebrating its 20th Annual race – the largest gathering of our community, a “HopeWell Village” for all to see.

On Sunday, April 23rd, at 8:30 AM at Goucher College, more than 1,400 runners and walkers will gather in honor and memory of their loved ones. REACHOUT & RUN is a day to celebrate life and hope.

The event will feature a 5K-timed run, a 5K walk and a 1-mile Walk with Hope as well as raffle baskets, refreshments, music, friendly team rivalries, special prizes for finishers in many age groups and categories, and much more! All proceeds will directly help people living with cancer and their family and friends.

“Cancer is hard. It can be emotionally challenging and financially devastating. All of our programs and services are provided to our participants FREE of charge. Fundraising events like these are vital to our ability to continue to serve everyone in a meaningful way. Our goal this year is to raise $250,000 and we are well on our way,” said Suzanne Brace, Executive Director of HopeWell Cancer Support.
