Established in Baltimore in 1906, the Pompeian Olive Oil Company was the country’s first national brand of imported extra virgin olive oil. You may have passed their 200,000-square-foot factory and distribution center on Pulaski Highway, their home since 1912, and wondered what goes on behind those walls. Now is your chance to find out. Please join our tour to see how a 110 year old Baltimore company bottles olive oil and vinegar.
Join us for a public program honoring Baltimore artist Elizabeth Talford Scott and her works currently on view at the Peabody Libray in Reverberations: Disruption and Healing Through the Hands of Elizabeth Talford Scott. Visitors will be able to experience performative activations by local artists.
This experience is designed by Ringo Lasko and Elijah Ramos, students in the Exhibition Development Seminar at Maryland Institute College of Art working with cultural organizations and colleges across Baltimore.
Join us online for a Zoom information session about the Grit Fund! Grit Fund was established in Baltimore in 2015 with generous funding from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, as a part of the Regional Regranting Program—which “aims to support vibrant, under-the-radar artistic activity by partnering with leading cultural institutions in communities across the country.” Since 2015, Baltimore’s artists have found support for their projects through Grit Fund.
