McDaniel hosts a visiting artist lecture by multidisciplinary artist Bart O’Reilly. A native of Dublin, Ireland, O’Reilly is an artist and instructor currently based in Baltimore. His work addresses questions related to places and their objects. He also works to help fellow artists who are under-represented.

Our popular 'Thirsty Thursdays at the Opera' series is back for the 3rd season! Top-flight professional opera singers perform astounding operatic highlights -- while drinks (expertly-paired with the music!) are interspersed throughout the evening. Join the Howard County Arts Council for Road to the Arts weekend! This annual event celebrates the beginning of the 2017-2018 gallery season by inviting art lovers to explore the local visual arts scene. Galleries throughout Howard County will host openings and special exhibits over the course of the weekend. Participating galleries include the Arts Council, the Artists’ Gallery, The African Art Museum of Maryland, Columbia Art Center, HorseSpirit Arts Gallery, The Meeting House Gallery, and Roxy’s Art.

The Hot Club of Baltimore, featuring guitarist Michael Joseph Harris, is the premier gypsy jazz group of the region specializing in the vast repertoire of vintage jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt including early swing, musette waltzes, show tunes, be bop, and French standards from the 30's and 40's. The band includes Sami Arefin on rhythm guitar, Ed Hrybyk on bass and Matt Andrews on violin. They will be joined by the beautiful young chanteuse Alexis Tantau who will beguile you with her authentic treatment of songs from Edith Piaf to Ella Fitzgerald.

The Terrible Secret of Lunastus is a zany comedy-action romp through the outers of space! Mando for Kids promotes and teaches classical mandolin to young students in the Baltimore area - it’s the only program of its kind in the United States! It was started by a group within the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra and continues under the direction of Laura Norris, a Classical Mandolin Society fellow, member of the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra and Baltimore Mandolin Quartet.
The Baltimore Improv Group has improv comedy shows every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7, 8 & 9 p.m. All Thursday shows are free. Friday and Saturday shows are $10.
Improv comedy shows are made up entirely on the spot using audience suggestions! No two shows are alike!
