This is Baltimore City's only dedicated blues jam, hosted by blues guitarist/vocalist Gina DeLuca in an open mic format in historic Fells Point, three blocks north of the waterfront, one block east of Broadway. All are welcome to play the blues or just stop by to hear a set. Free street parking; no cover. Music starts at 8pm and runs until 12 midnight. All ages; minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This is a smoke-free venue.

Everyone has a story to tell, and writing a memoir is a great way to share yours. One way to make your memoir stand out from the crowd is to apply the techniques of fiction to writing nonfiction. In part 3 of this workshop series, we will focus on particular writing skills, in-class writing exercises, and critiques of participants’ works-in-progress. It is NOT necessary to have attended part 1 or 2! Open to beginners and experienced writers.
Basetrack Live is a multimedia theatre piece designed to raise public awareness of the impact of war on the service members who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. We must encourage a complicated but necessary discussion that recognizes and respects the role of our military, but looks unflinchingly at the legacy of war. How can artists contribute to realizing that goal? What does it take to create a dialogue that is meaningful and poetic, honest and provocative, that addresses such a complicated subject?

It was started by a group within the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra and continues under the direction of Laura Norris, a Classical Mandolin Society fellow, member of the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra and Baltimore Mandolin Quartet.
