The Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower presents “Minas Konsolas: Paintings,” a solo exhibition by Minas Konsolas on display from Saturday, June 4 through Saturday, September 10, 2016. A free opening reception takes place Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm where guests will have the opportunity to view the exhibition, meet the artist and enjoy light refreshments. Managed by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower is open every Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
Wavy Dash is a duel show featuring the work of Angela Arrigo and Jessican Simorte. Both artists' work examine playful mark-marking techniques and simplifiy space through the use of paint and other materials to make beautiful, coloful, abstractions.
Angela Arrigo was born in 1992 in Palm Beach, Florida, graduated Maryland Institute College of Art (2014) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting. She was an Artist Tenant at Platform Arts Center in Baltimore, Maryland from 2014 to 2016. She currently lives and works in South Florida.

Join Baltimore Wicked History Tours to plumb the depths of Baltimore’s underbelly. While we crawl through the streets in town, you’ll hear about times past when some struggled to survive and others thumbed their noses at authority. From speakeasies to underhanded villains to celebrated personalities who passed through these Baltimore streets. This is a Baltimore history tour like no other. Some might call it wicked.
Making its Baltimore debut this Labor Day weekend, the timely and important Mandela is a moving theater performance about the life and struggles of Nelson Mandela. The play, which originally premiered at the National Black Theater in New York City in 2014, and then included a performance by former NYC Mayor David Dinkins (playing himself), is coming off a third run at the same theater in July 2016. This performance will uplift your spirit and feed your mind.
Westside Jazz debuts at the Cabaret at Germano's. The band consists of Beth Weber on vocals, Jordan Feldman on EWI, Jough Loosmore on bass, Eric Trueon drums and Phil Heiliger on piano.

Walk just a few blocks east from Baltimore’s Sunday Farmers Market and you enter one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city – historic Jonestown. On this tour of often over-looked landmarks, you’ll see handsome cast-iron buildings, hear how urban renewal transformed the community in the 1960s and 1970s, and get inside the famed Phoenix Shot Tower – the tallest structure in the United States until 1846. The Shot Tower stands out in Baltimore’s skyline as a reminder of our early industrial heritage and is a must-see for visitors and locals alike!

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! wants to thank Maryland K-12 employees by offering them some extended summer fun with Educator Appreciation Days.
Ripley attractions in Maryland will be FREE for educators in the state from September 6 through October 16.

This class will look deeper into metal fabrication and provide students with helpful
information regarding soldering techniques, heat control, flux protection, and finishing. Students will work with sheet, wire and solid forms to practice sweat and chip soldering. Other common jewelry practices like attaching jump rings and earrings posts, chain repair, and ring sizing will be covered. Prerequisite: Intro to Metals + Jewelry or equivalent
