This unique program will feature traditional and original music for historic banjo in solo and ensemble settings, including early American and British banjo works, selections from Denhard’s “Huckleberry Finn” Ballet, and unique novelties from the Victorian, Ragtime and Appalachian repertoire.

Miriam Fried has played with virtually every major orchestra in the United States and Europe and has been a frequent guest with the principal orchestras of Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, New York, Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, as well as with the Israel Philharmonic, the London Symphony, the Royal Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphony. Recital tours have taken her to all of the major music centers in North America and to Brussels, London, Milan, Munich, Rome, Paris, Salzburg, Stockholm and Zurich.

Mando for Kids promotes and teaches classical mandolin to young students in the Baltimore area - it’s the only program of its kind in the United States! It was started by a group within the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra and continues under the direction of Laura Norris, a Classical Mandolin Society fellow, member of the Baltimore Mandolin Orchestra and Baltimore Mandolin Quartet.
The Baltimore Improv Group has improv comedy shows every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7, 8 & 9 p.m. All Thursday shows are free. Friday and Saturday shows are $10.
Improv comedy shows are made up entirely on the spot using audience suggestions! No two shows are alike!
