"A Child’s Christmas in Wales" by Dylan Thomas
A Reading by Donald Hicken
Dylan Thomas’ prose/poetic recalling of his boyhood in the coastal village of Swansea is a humorous, touching and deeply human story of one particularly fabled Christmas seen through the eyes of the children who populate the poet’s memory. Renowned director Donald Hicken narrates this delightful Christmas classic with music by Nancy Krebs. Following the reading, he will be joined by BSA students and colleagues, Nancy Krebs and Becky Mossing, who will lead the audience singing seasonal favorites.
THE REVOLUTIONISTS
by Lauren Gunderson | Directed by Casey Stangl
Join us as we portray the life of a soldier trying to get home to his family for Christmas. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.
We invite you to the most famous Christmas Party of all time as you attend The Nutcracker where the possibility of dreams, the magic of Christmas and the wonder of the child merge through young Clara's adventures with mechanical dolls, life-size rats, and whirling Kingdoms of Snow and Sweets. Help Clara rescue her beloved Nutcracker from the Rat Queen's evil spell and discover her true destiny.
Your next wish grants you the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with Clara in December as she once again takes us to the magical lands of The Nutcracker, where you can discover the wonder of this timeless holiday tradition again. Allow yourself to be swept away by young Clara's adventures to rescue her beloved Nutcracker from the Rat Queen's evil spell.
The last time brilliant acoustic trio The Stray Birds performed at Creative Alliance, audiences were mesmerized by their stunningly rich vocal harmonies and tight arrangements.
In less than five years, The Stray Birds have become one of the most popular bands in roots music. Formed in friendship and honed on the road, The Stray Birds' sound is spun with a stirring subtlety and grace. With wood, strings, and three voices raised in harmony, their performances bow to the richness of American folk music traditions — and speak to an uncompromising reverence for songs.
Charlie Hunter Trio Feat. Silvana Estrada
In a crowded history of jazz guitar, seven- and eight-string guitar genius Charlie Hunter has created his own funky path, stunning audiences with his ability to simultaneously bust out tasty bass parts, melodic leads, and swinging rhythms.
