On Saturday, November 4th NEM will present our 9th annual Electronica Music Festival, a day of knob twisting, pitch bending, wiring mazes, sound shaping, and visual explosion with some of the area's most exciting and innovative Electronic musical performers. Tickets are available at the door: $10 for the whole day, with re-entry.; $5 for students 15 and younger. Music starts at noon.
Stars, Stripes & Chow brings families an afternoon of fun as businesses compete in a chili cook-off to raise money for veterans and homeless men in Baltimore. In addition to unlimited chili samples, guests will enjoy food from Mission BBQ and a beer and wine bar from City Limits, plus a kid’s zone, music, and more!

From Irish step dancing lessons to puppetry and from traditional Irish food to authentic Celtic music, there is something for everyone at the 44th Annual Maryland Irish Festival set to take place on November 10-12, 2017 at the Timonium Fairgrounds from 6-11 p.m. on Friday; 12 noon – 11 p.m. on Saturday and on Sunday from 12 noon - 6 p.m. There will be plenty of traditional Irish food & drink, internationally recognized musical groups, children’s activities, cultural exhibits from Ireland, festive contests, a speaker series and various vendors all contained in the spacious Cow Palace.
Hair Cuttery, the largest family owned and operated chain of hair salons in the country, is hosting its Veterans Day Share-A-Haircut program on Saturday, November 11. For every haircut purchased at one of Hair Cuttery’s nearly 900 salons, one free haircut certificate will be donated to a veteran locally. Hair Cuttery is determined to donate thousands of free haircut certificates to veterans in communities across the nation with the help of local veteran’s organizations such as the American Red Cross, Operation Sacred Housing and regional Veterans Affairs offices.
This weekend only at the B&O Railroad Museum, kids can be more powerful than a locomotive. Young railroad fans may dress as their favorite super hero for an out-of-this-world experience and day of fun!

Robert Cantrell, bass-baritone, is often praised for his rich, powerful sound and lyrical musical interpretations. A local favorite, Cantrell promises to deliver an engaging and dynamic performance, exhibiting great vocal control and sensitivity. His program, accompanied by Daniel Lau, will feature works by Handel, Mozart, Strauss, Ibert, and more.
WTMD is excited to announce the fall season of Saturday Morning Tunes, an award-winning, family-friendly concert series featuring rising stars of the children’s music scene, hosted at the WTMD performance studio in Towson.
The shows are once a month on Saturday mornings through June, broadcast live on the radio with a live studio audience of little ones! (That’s where you come in.)

This coming Saturday, November 18th, from 1pm-4pm, Maryland Volunteer Lawyers For The Arts (MdVLA) will be holding an art law clinic at Jubilee Arts Center. At the clinic, artists or members of arts related buisnesses or organizations with legal questions or issues can speak with a licensed attorney for 30 minutes about their issue for a $5 administrative fee. We can then refer individuals who need further legal assistance to our attorney referral program.
